About Me

In day one of teacher training we were asked to bring an object that signified energy we wanted to bring into the class. I brought an old passport. Because I remember when I got my first passport. The excitement I had at the journeys I might take. I left the country for the first time at 16 to be an exchange student in Australia. I wanted to change the world, I wanted to be the world, I wanted to see and experience everything. But it wasn’t a whole lot of fun to hang out internally. And what I learned was that no matter where you go, there you are.

And here I am. In my 40s. Still too vain to tell you where in my 40s. Clinging to my 40s. Still figuring out who I am. How to be. And ultimately, it’s probably not as hard as I’m making it.
